I sort of like this idea though here in Southern California, I wonder about cutting someone's Orange or Avocado tree for tonewood. :lol: It does lead to some ideas though about scrounging materials where one can find them. There are Cypress and Eucalyptus trees around but not sure how they might wor...

Oh, Okay Ron,
Guess I jumped the gun there. Looks good. That cutting and grinding tool is neat but be careful you don't cut into your thumbnail . Looks a bit close tolerance work there.

That inlay is going to look great! I don't know that I would be able to have a steady enough hand to rout out such a channel in an Ebony fretboard. Or anywhere else for that matter.
