Re: Healdsburg Guitars, Twins!!
That's exactly what I was hoping for David. Once you have construction down voicing is the next step. Glad it got those blade turning, it's really cool stuff when you get into it.

Re: Double Top, Quilted Sapelle.
So hello to Darryl Young!!!!!! So, a big I'm sorry, you were completely right and I was in total denial. After getting it all boxed up the guitar didn't make a sound, nothing. You could beat and beat on it and it would thud and suddenly stop. So after months of shame, denial and procrastination I fi...

Re: Healdsburg Guitars, Twins!!
So after posting this in the other forum I got a few comments that it was too much of a tease to just show what I showed above and not give the exacts of my work. But I feel like everything is there, at least enough for everyone else to get the idea of what was happening. I'll share everything I've ...

Re: Healdsburg Guitars, Twins!!
The end result: Monster volume and clarity. Definitely not the BS tone I had before. It was good but not exciting. Guys would play it and gave it right back. You can see me playing it on the video and I can't stop until I'd heard a full phrase of my tune. I was confused about how great it sounded. I...

They looked so clean and pro, right?!?! http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd354/tlguitars/lessons/IMG_0028.jpg http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd354/tlguitars/lessons/IMG_0022.jpg http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd354/tlg...

Re: Healdsburg Guitars, Twins!!
Got it done tonight and man it's now amazing, dead strings and all. I took pics before I started shaving and after. Now that I know how to voice properly before I get the back on I won't have to do this again but it's nice to know that I can fix a BAD sounding guitar. Here's what it sounded like, so...

Re: Healdsburg Guitars, Twins!!
So I had to revoice the Cedar as it sucked. I posted in another location but thought it might be good to post here too. http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd354/tlguitars/DSC_0136.jpg So I took Bryan Galloups "Dynamic Voicing Seminar," http://www.galloupguitars.com/featured-seminars.htm#to...
