Joe...I just read your entire thread for the first time. Kudos on attempting such an experiment and comparative build. We've all learned a lot from your effort and excellent tutorial. You might want to contact John How and get his thoughts as well. He's a great guy and I know he'll be happy to help....

Nice looking work, Z! What are your thicknesses of the top, back and sides? I would agree with Brian about the heavy bracing...I was also thinking that those sides look kinda thick...it could be a camera perspective thing.
