Re: My revised XX back bracing
Those are cool looking trusses Grant. FYI I stole your idea of cross bracing the back but since I'm a lot more lazy than you I simply cross braced the back the same way I cross brace the top except without any tone bracing - just the single cross bracing only. I've done this on a couple classicals a...

Re: Size 2 Martin build coming late October
Grant - nice job! I love what you're doing here. I've had a chance to do some repair work on several old Martins in the 1850 - 1870 range and it makes grow more in love with these little gems. Thanks for sharing this...

Looks great Grant! Placing the rosette rings dry and then flooding with CA glue - what a good idea. I'm going to remember that for the next one. Love the back-strip too.

The renewed interest in smaller guitars amazes me as i get far more inquiries on the little guitars from my website than any of the other guitars I have posted there. I recently finished a copy of a Gibson LG-1 and used a nice piece of white spruce that I got f...

Re: Grand Concert for Freegift, Builder Swap
Joe - your bracing system is certainly unique. You've indicated that you've used this pattern before. What do you like about it in terms of sound? How does it sound different than conventional steel string bracing? Ladder bracing usually produces a punchier tone and quicker response in small classic...

Re: Curly Maple Cutaway for Debbie
I admire you guys that can bend those tight cutaway radiuses with a bender. I've got to the point where I do it on a bending iron by hand cause I've not mastered the heat blanket, or light bulb methods.
Raymond - the curly maple is nice stuff.
