Back to work!!!
End blocks (Honduroan Rosewood and Mahogany) done and Purfling/ brace stock is here!!!
Clamped in the blocks and trim sanded the sides to shape with the band saw and edge sander. Then it's back to the forum and I cut to shape. The cool thing about this mold is that my radius is already built in so I rout my 14 foot radius into the sides and end blocks.

Man, there's a couple of new ways to skin a cat!
Do you radius your tops? If yes, do you radius the edge of the rims and linings, or leave those flat (which, I think, is how Huss & Dalton does their rims.)

My tops are dead flat with about an 1/8th fall away from the top of the sound hole to the dovetail. It's the O method. And all of that is built into the mold so all I have to do is run my router and I'm dead on. I've got a pair of molds per shape, a Back and a top. That's why I made 2 in the SC Prototype thread. My top plate and inserts are being made now I'll post pics in that thread when they're done explaining what had happened.

Todd,
I am catching up on your build and really enjoying it.
I have a rosette question. When you cut your rosette pieces on the bottom portion of your form thingy do you double stick tape them down? If not how do you keep them from becoming airborne toothpicks?
Thanks,
Lefty

No money Nathan. No money Marty. Just a roof over my head and a rockin chair by the fire.

Hey Lefty.
I back route them to within an mm of the end and then I stop. Then just crack em off. I have to right angle the end at the sander any way so I don't loose much.

I know you're busy, crazy busy if you're on target to deliver this in a few weeks... but drop us a line occasionally, and snap some pictures of the whole process, and you can get them posted later when things calm down a bit.
Here's hoping the wood sprites don't get mischievous!

Have I ever mentioned that I love to see your work? I have seen high quality furniture that didn't look anywhere near as nice as the inside of your guitars!
