Thanks, David. I am learning as I go. A few scratches from slips of the tool, but hope they will mostly polish out. Now, the shading (mostly on the curliques) and then stamp the edge line. More holes to drill on the edge for mounting screws. Then clean up and buff it down.
Danny is turning the new brass string pegs on his lathe, and I am making some of the other metal parts. I will show in detail how we are doing this when we get it all ready. Already have a few ideas for the next set. Yes, we plan to make more.

Very impressive first effort at engraving, Grant! Not to mention figuring out that neck joint...

The engraving is done. Now, need to stamp the border and buff out the roughness from the engraving. Then drill and countersink the remaining holes. Then polish it up. A few irregularities, but the design is so busy that they won't be that obvious.

Looks better than the reproduction antique engraved guitar tuning plate I made this week.
